Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22)
In FY22, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and AidKit distributed $38,372,000 to 3,217 early childhood educators through the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund. Eligible early childhood educators received one-time payments of up to $14,000 depending on their staff type (e.g., teacher, assistant teacher, home caregiver, etc.) and employment status (e.g., full time or part time).
The FY22 application for the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund opened on Aug. 15, 2022 and closed at 5 p.m. on Sept. 20, 2022. AidKit hosted the application, administered funds and provided technical support.

FY23
In FY23, OSSE and AidKit distributed $41,908,750 to 4,085 early childhood educators through the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund. Eligible early childhood educators received up to four payments of up to $3,500 each, depending on their staff type and employment status, between October 2022 and September 2023.
The FY23 application for the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund opened on Nov. 1, 2022 and closed at 5 p.m. on Aug. 15, 2023. Early childhood educators who received a supplemental payment through AidKit in FY22 and remained employed in an eligible staff type in a child development facility licensed by OSSE did not need to submit an additional application to receive supplemental payments in FY23.
