LEA Special Education Points of Contact Monthly Webinar Series

Special Education for Students with Disabilities

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law that makes available a free appropriate public education to eligible children with disabilities throughout the nation and ensures special education and related services to those children. Children and youth ages 3 through 21 receive special education and related services under IDEA Part B.

Specialized Education Training and Technical Assistance

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is pleased to provide LEA Special Education Points of Contact (LEA SE POC) with monthly training webinars during the school year. The one-hour monthly series will run on the third Wednesday of every month from 10-11 a.m.

This page lists resources to support educators, administrators, and staff in serving students with disabilities in the District of Columbia. View archived LEA SE POC monthly training materials and resources.

For more information or questions about the LEA SE POC monthly webinars, please contact Tiffany Ingram at [email protected].
