Investment in Schools (IIS) grants are provided to local education agencies (LEAs) to support eligible schools over a three-year period. During the first year of the grant, LEAs complete a needs assessment and resource equity analysis, if applicable. The results support their development of a school improvement plan. The school improvement plan determines how the grant funds will be used in the second and third years of the grant award period.
