The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), Title I, Part A 1003 Investment in Schools (IIS) grant is awarded to schools identified for school improvement in the DC STAR Framework as Comprehensive Support 1 (CS1).In fiscal year 2022 (FY22), the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) awarded approximately $3.3 million in IIS funding to CS1 schools in the District of Columbia.
The IIS grant is currently provided to the following District of Columbia Schools for FY22. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency, CS1 schools remained in this designation for four years and received an additional year of funds to support the continued implementation of their approved school improvement plans.
