A checklist that child development facility leaders must complete to confirm a volunteer’s staff record contains all required information and supporting documentation. The completed checklist must be uploaded to the volunteer’s staff record in the Staff Qualifications section in the Complete Staff Qualification Checklist field.

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) will reimburse child care providers participating in the DC Child Care Subsidy Program for days that facilities are closed for professional development and at the discretion of the child care providers. Child care providers must submit to OSSE for approval requests for professional development and discretionary closures-.
Child care staff must complete annual training that meets both child care licensing regulations and Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) requirements. CCDF requires training on 11 health and safety topics. This document outlines the 11 required training topics and the content that must be included in each.
