Child Care and Development (CCDF) Course Content Requirements

Child care staff must complete annual training that meets both child care licensing regulations and Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) requirements. CCDF requires training on 11 health and safety topics. This document outlines the 11 required training topics and the content that must be included in each.

Trainers who are certified to deliver health and safety trainings through the Office of the State Superintendent of Education’s (OSSE’s) Trainer Approval Program (TAP) may use this document to ensure courses adhere to all CCDF and child care licensing requirements before they are submitted to OSSE for review.
