The Government of the District of Columbia Office the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) has, in cooperation with the US Department of Education (DOE), developed an indirect cost proposal to be used by local education agencies (LEAs) in the District of Columbia.

Request for Application (RFA) Release Date: Aug. 17, 2015 (12 p.m.)
Grant Application Submission Deadline: Aug. 31, 2015 (no later than 4 p.m.)

The purpose of this policy is to set expectations and provide guidance and technical assistance with regard to the state-level issues related to the closure of a District of Columbia public charter school, also referred to as a Local Educational Agency (LEA).

The response to the pandemic and the continued use of social distancing measures to protect public health will require schools to be prepared to provide both in-person and distance learning for the 2020-21 school year.

This is the rubric OSSE will use to review and provide recommendations on school improvement plans for Priority and Focus schools. Schools are encouraged to use this rubric as a guide as they develop their school improvement plans.

Pursuant to 5-A DCMR §2100.3, OSSE allowed LEAs in the District of Columbia that have closed school buildings and moved to distance learning in response to coronavirus (COVID-19) to apply for waivers of requirements pertaining to the length of school year.

Thank you for your interest in completing the District of Columbia application for nomination to US Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools (ED-GRS), District Sustainability Award, or Postsecondary Sustainability...
