The Office of the State Superintendent of Education’s (OSSE’s) child care regulations licensing require early childhood educators working in licensed child development facilities in DC to meet education requirements based on their position. This report explains the education requirements and presents trends in the number and percentage of early childhood educators in each position who are meeting the requirement for their position as reported by employers in the Division of Early Learning Licensing Tool (DELLT).
