2022-2026 Districtwide Strategic Plan to Decrease Youth Disengagement from Education

Monday, August 29, 2022

In 2021, the DC ReEngagement Center (DC REC) began collaborating with community partners and stakeholders to create the 2022-2026 Districtwide Strategic Plan. This work concluded in early 2022. The four-year districtwide strategic plan will guide the work of key stakeholders within the District of Columbia, alongside the DC REC, as the DC REC continues its commitment to reconnect youth ages 16-24 with educational options, critical services and resources to support their attainment of a high school diploma or GED and postsecondary and career planning.

This page hosts materials related to the plan.

The executive summary provides a forward from Superintendent Grant and a summary of the districtwide plan, while the summary presentation provides a high-level overview of the plan in 16 slides.

If you are interested in further details, the full presentation offers a deep dive into the strategic planning process and includes two sets of strategies – those recommended for citywide implementation and strategies OSSE and the DC REC are committed to leading, as well as an appendix (68 slides).
