Public Notification - Waiver for At-Risk Program Year

Thursday, June 11, 2020

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) submitted a waiver to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office (MARO) for the Child and Adult Care Food Program. OSSE submitted a waiver request to allow CACFP sites to operate both the CACFP and SFSP at their sites to support serving more than two meal types for eligible participants during the coronavirus.

UPDATE: The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) submitted a waiver to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office (MARO) for the Child and Adult Care Food Program. OSSE requested a waiver of the requirement that the at-risk afterschool program only be operated during the school year.

The goal of these waivers is to ensure sites are able to operate the at-risk afterschool program and continue serving more than two meal types during the coronavirus. Information regarding the approval or denial of these waiver requests will be posted here and will be provided to all sponsors via email once the USDA makes the determination.
