2026-27 School Year OSSE Calendar Guidance and Key Links

The guidance and links below apply to instructional day school calendars for the 2026-27 school year. All inquiries should be directed to [email protected].

Instructional Day and Distance Learning Guidance

Reminder: Calendar Submission for Compliance Review 
Regular 2026-27 school year instructional day calendars are due in eSchoolPLUS by June 23, 2026. Local education agencies (LEAs) must submit their 2026-27 instructional day calendars for compliance review no later than June 23. LEAs will submit their calendars using the Instructional Day Calendar Compliance sheet in the 2026-27 Data Validation QLIK application. OSSE anticipates the compliance portal will open in early May. Full instructions will be available in the Data Validation Technical Guide in the 2026-27 Data Validation QLIK application. This process is identical to the one used in the 2025-26 school year. 

Attendance and Calendars Waivers

Schools and LEAs may apply for instructional day waivers for the 2026-27 school year: 

  • Waiver to Exceed Five Situational Distance Learning Days
  • Half-Day Waiver
  • Waiver to Reduce Instructional Time for Extraordinary Operational Conditions

More information is available in the 2026-27 OSSE Instructional Day and Distance Learning Guidance. LEA data managers should submit waiver applications using the appropriate attendance waiver application in the OSSE Support Tool Quickbase application.
