We apologize for the transportation service disruption you experienced today. We know how challenging it is when your child does not receive expected bus service, and we regret the impact this had on your family.
Due to staffing shortages compounded by ongoing weather-related challenges, some OSSE-DOT routes were unable to operate today. You are receiving this message because your student was directly affected and did not receive transportation service.
Given current conditions, there is a possibility that some students may experience service disruptions for a second consecutive day. Our team is actively working to address these challenges, including coordinating with additional paratransit service providers to expand route coverage as quickly as possible. In the meantime, if you are able to arrange alternative transportation, please know that you will be eligible for parent reimbursement (CLICK HERE).
We also want to acknowledge that some of the communications sent earlier today was confusing and inaccurately suggested that all OSSE-DOT bus services were shutting down. We apologize for that confusion. Our goal is to restore as much service as possible each day, and we will continue to provide updates as routes are brought back into operation.
