The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Division of Early Learning, is soliciting applications for the allocation of Pre-K Enhancement and Expansion funding. OSSE will distribute funding to community-based organizations (CBOs)1 pursuant to the Pre-K Enhancement and Expansion Amendment Act of 2008, (the “Act”), effective July 18, 2008 (DC Law 17-202; DC Official Code § 38-271.01 et seq.) and its’ implementing regulations (5-A DCMR Chapter 35).
District of Columbia Gears Up for College Application Week

More than 2,500 District of Columbia graduating seniors will receive assistance navigating the complex college admissions process next week as a part of DC College Application Week. Sponsored by the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), DC College Application Week will run November 2-6, 2015, at 45 DC public and public charter high schools as well as community-based organizations across the District to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students who pursue a postsecondary education.
