The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA) provides national leadership to help ensure that English learners and immigrant students attain English proficiency and achieve academic success. This session will focus on the transition from the former NCLB to the new ESSA as it relates to English learners. The presentation will make attendees aware of the major shifts in this evolving federal policy.
