(Washington, DC) On Wednesday, July 23, 2008, the DC State Board of Education will hold a public hearing on proposed regulations governing teacher certification.
The public hearing will begin at 5 pm at 441 4th Street, NW, in the Old Council Chambers located on the ground floor of the building. The proposed regulations will be available for review prior to the hearing, beginning July 21, 2008, on the Office of the State Superintendent of Education’s website.
All interested members of the public who wish to testify at the hearing are required to register in advance with the State Board of Education by calling the Executive Director, Beverley Wheeler, at (202) 741-0888 or emailing her at [email protected] by 5 pm, Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Any party planning to testify at the hearing will be asked to provide 15 written copies of the testimony to the State Board of Education prior to testifying.
