OSSE announces that the Request for Applications (RFA) for the Title II Part A Teacher Quality Improvement Grant program for FFY 2009-2011 will be released on May 4, 2011. Eligible partnerships must include each of the following: (1) a private or State institution of higher education (IHE) and the division of the institution that prepares teachers and principals, (2) a school of arts and sciences; and (3) a high need LEA. Funding is available for up to three funding periods, covering from June 2011 through September 2013, requiring submission of a separate budget for each period if desired.
Prospective applicants must submit a complete application to OSSE on or before 5 pm on Monday, June 6, 2011. Applications must be submitted electronically to [email protected], according to the instructions included in the application. Any application received on or after 5:01 pm on Monday, June 6, 2011 will not be considered for review, with no exceptions or extensions.
Prospective providers are strongly encouraged to participate in the upcoming pre-application conference in which OSSE staff will describe the Teacher Quality Improvement Grant application process. The pre-application conference will be on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 4 pm to 6 pm and May 10, 2011 from 4 pm to 6 pm.
