District Children to Get a Healthy Start on Life at Annual Let's Move! DC Event

What:
More than 700 toddlers and public school students in the District will gather on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 to participate in the annual Let’s Move! DC event hosted by the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). In partnership with DC Child and Family Services Agency, the DC Department of Health’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation, the family-friendly event aims to inspire children to eat healthy foods and have at least 60 minutes of physical activity per day, whether before, during, or after school.

Let's Move! DC will feature activities including bicycling, golf, and dance in alignment with the First Lady’s national Let’s Move! health initiative.
