Please continue to check this website for breaking news regarding legislation currently pending before the House of Representatives that would expand the DC Tuition Assistance Grant program to more residents of the District of Columbia.
- Program will expand to include all private historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) across the country.
- The Act would eliminate the current requirement that District students attend college within three years of graduating from high school.
- Under current law, students must have graduated since January 1, 1998, in order to be eligible for the program. The Act would allow students who are currently enrolled at an eligible college or university to waive that requirement.
