DC State Board of Education Reelects President Ted Trabue and Vice President Laura McGiffert Slover

The president and vice president will hold their positions until January 2012.

(Washington, DC) – The District of Columba State Board of Education (DCSBOE) unanimously voted to reelect President Ted Trabue and Vice President Laura McGiffert Slover to their second terms in leadership positions.

The DC State Board of Education Leadership Elections were held at the public meeting on February 2, 2011. Ward Five Representative Mark Jones nominated President Trabue for reelection by stating, “He served this body admirably last year, representing this body before the executive office, the city council and the community at large. Whenever we had difficult issues that came before us, he exercised great patience. He always performed his due diligence, and he consulted his colleagues in his decision-making.” The president and vice president will hold their positions until January 2012.

President Ted Trabue represents the DC State Board of Education as the At-Large Member and Vice President Laura McGiffert Slover represents Ward Three.
