DC State Board of Education Holds Public Hearing to Review the No Child Left Behind Proposed Report Card

Washington, DC – the DC State Board of Education (DCSBOE) will hold a public hearing to review the proposed No Child Left Behind Report Card.

 

The hearing will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 6 pm at 441 4th Street, NW, in the District of Columbia State Board of Education Chambers, located on the lobby level of the building.

 

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is partnering with Great Schools and Fight for Children to develop a new state report card that will be more accessible to the public. Please review the attached presentations by OSSE [PDF] and Great Schools along with Fight for Children [PDF] to the State Board on April 21, 2010 for further details.

Constituents who wish to comment at the hearing are required to notify the State Board of Education in advance by contacting the Executive Director, Beverley Wheeler, by phone at (202) 741-0884 or by email at [email protected] 24 hours before the scheduled meeting time. Please provide one electronic copy and bring fifteen copies to the hearing for the State Board members to view.

 

The hearing will air live on District Knowledge Network (DKN) Comcast Channel 99, RCN Channel 18, and Fios Channel 12.
