Washington, DC - The DC State Board of Education (DCSBOE) will hold the
following meetings and public hearings in December. The public is invited to attend and
to present testimony at the public hearings. The meetings and public hearings are
scheduled as follows:
- Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 5:30 pm: Public Hearing: A framework for education in the 21st Century
- Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 6:00 pm: Public Hearing: Truancy Regulations
- Wednesday, December 10 at 6:00 pm: Public Hearing: Teacher Preparation Standards
- Wednesday, December 17 at 5:30 pm: Regular meeting: State Board members will vote on the Early Learning Standards, Truancy Regulations, 21st Century Education framework, and Teacher Preparation Standards
All meetings and public hearings are held at 441 4th Street, N.W. in the DCSBOE Chambers, Lobby Level. The nearest metro is Judiciary Square on the Red line.

You must provide your name, address, telephone number, organizational affiliation and title (if any) by 4:00 pm on the Monday prior to each meeting.
Those who wish to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 15 copies of written testimony. If submitted by the close of business on the Monday prior to each meeting, the testimony will be distributed to SBOE members before the hearing.
