The purpose of this document is to set forth efficient procedures and guidance to ensure that all invoices submitted by providers of services are reviewed, processed and paid in a timely manner to ensure that services provided to the children of the District of Columbia are not interrupted. 

A high quality early care and education program has positive effects on a child’s cognitive, social and emotional development as it relates to self-confidence, curiosity, and love for learning.

Participants will be introduced to various student populations that fall under the umbrella term of “English Learner”. The conversation will kick off with participants considering the English learners they’ve previously worked with, and then compiling a list of their qualities.

This document summarizes requirements for the collection and governance of attendance data submitted by local education agencies (LEAs) in the District of Columbia to OSSE. It supersedes previous guidance issued by OSSE, via the Deputy Mayor for Education (DME), on Aug. 23, 2016.

On Nov. 19, 2014, President Obama signed the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Act of 2014 into law. This law reauthorizes the child care program for the first time since 1996, and represents a historic re-envisioning of the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program.
