Related Service Management Reports (RSMR) in Special Programs are designed to strengthen accountability and transparency in the delivery of services to students with disabilities.

All related service providers are required to document services rendered within Special Programs. The RSMR then compares the services prescribed in a student’s individualized education program (IEP) with the services actually delivered, giving school leaders a clear view of:

• Adherence to IEP mandates;
• Service delivery trends; and
• Gaps or discrepancies that may require attention.

By aligning prescribed expectations with delivered services, the RSMR empowers local education agencies (LEAs) to ensure compliance, improve resource management, and support equitable access to services.
