OSSE is pleased to announce the final rulemaking of Chapter 16 (Licensure Requirements), Title 5 (Education) of the DCMR. The updated regulations were developed in partnership with the education community with the purpose of streamlining the process of awarding credentials in the District and creating additional credential pathways. The revised regulations ensure that teachers and administrators are able to receive credentials that are aligned with current research and responsive to identified needs. The new regulations became effective on July 1, 2016.
