Overall Results
- In 2015, the average score of fourth-grade students in District of Columbia was 212. This was lower than the average score of 221 for public school students in the nation.
- The average score for students in District of Columbia in 2015 (212) was higher than their average score in 2013 (206) and in 1998 (179).
- The percentage of students in District of Columbia who performed at or above the NAEP Proficient level was 27 percent in 2015. This percentage was greater than that in 2013 (23 percent) and in 1998 (10 percent).
- The percentage of students in District of Columbia who performed at orabove the NAEP Basic level was 56 percent in 2015. This percentage was greater than that in 2013 (50 percent) and in 1998 (27 percent).
