The Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education: Extended IFSP Option for Children Age 3 to Age 4 Policies And Procedures:
  • Establishes procedures for the state option to extend Part C early intervention services beyond age three if the child is determined eligible for services under Part B of IDEA;
  • Specifies responsibilities between Part C and Part B programs;
  • Clarifies the differences between services received under Part C and Part B pre-school special education;
  • Sets forth requirements related to funding, monitoring, and reporting.
