Common Good City Farm


Location – V Street NW, between Second & Fourth Sts. NW Washington, DC 20001

Field trip season – April through June & September through October

Days/times site is open for field trips – Wed & Thurs 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Other days by request.

Grade levels welcome – Pre-K to 12th grade

Length of field trips – 1 to 1 1⁄2 hours

Travel time from downtown DC – 15 minutes

Student:Chaperone ratio – 10:1 older students, 7:1 younger students

Protocol for inclement weather – Rain or shine, canceled for thunder

Cost of field trip –$200/visit. Schools with >50 percent of students receiving free or reduced lunch pay $100.

Lunch – Students can bring their own lunch to eat at neighboring playground

Dress code – Closed-toe shoes and clothes to get dirty in

Type of farm – Working and teaching

Wheelchair accessible – Yes

Bathroom on site – Yes (not wheelchair accessible)

Liability insurance – Yes
