Shared Roots was created to encourage District residents to grow food by allowing them to temporarily grow food in school gardens not being used over the summer.
The deadline for school gardens to apply to be a Shared Roots site has passed.
View the Site Guide which includes details on each Shared Roots Sites.
Applications for District residents interested in growing food and caring for a garden site is open through April 30, 2025.
