Schools Technology Fund Grant Available to Support Computer-Based Testing

OSSE's Division of Systems Technology has released the Schools Technology Fund grant. OSSE will allocate the Schools Technology Fund to LEAs for the development and expansion of state of the art technology used for computer-based testing, including the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). The funding must be used for the implementation of school technology for innovative learning and educational advancement. More information about allowable uses of the fund is available on the PARCC website.

The award period is Oct. 1, 2017 to Sept. 30, 2018, and a total of $3,000,000 is available. OSSE shall distribute any amounts in the fund to LEAs on a per-pupil basis, based on the audited enrollment for the preceding year. Eligible LEAs may access the "Schools Technology Fund" application via the Enterprise Grants Management System (EGMS). The deadline to submit an application for the Schools Technology Fund is March 31, 2018. Eligible LEAs can expect to receive payment within 30 days of application approval.
