The Office of State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is proud to coordinate the District of Columbia chapter of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). The PAEMST Awards are the nation’s highest honors for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teachers and recipients receive recognition from the White House, a $10,000 award, invitations to a series of recognition events and professional learning opportunities and an opportunity to build lasting partnerships with colleagues across the nation.
