To support LEAs in planning for and creating their FY20 Consolidated Application for funding under a variety of programs related to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), OSSE is holding a series of webinars on different topics including schoolwide planning, completing the application itself, early childhood requirements, and more. All webinar topics will be repeated multiple times between May and September 2019. We recommend LEA grant managers, fiscal leads, and academic officers attend the series. The topics covered are as follows:

• ESEA Consolidated Application [Register] – This webinar is given annually as an introduction of the consolidated application for ESEA Titles I-IV funding under ESSA. The webinar explains the purposes of each title and allowable uses of funds, the application process and requirements and LEA options for transferring and consolidating funds. Suggested audience (bold): LEA grant managers, academic program officers and financial officers.

• Early Childhood Requirements in ESSA – This webinar will discuss LEAs' early childhood requirements in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The webinar will focus on how to meet the ESSA early childhood coordination requirements for FY19 and beyond, and how to complete the early childhood sections of the consolidated application for FY20 funds. Suggested audience: Both LEA early childhood transition coordinators and grant managers.

• Parent and Family Engagement Requirements [Register] – All recipients of Titles I-IV funding must develop policies and conduct parent and family engagement activities to be in compliance with ESSA. This training offers a detailed overview of the requirements for LEA and school activities related to parent involvement. Suggested audience: LEA grant managers, academic program officers and financial officers.
• Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, 11 a.m.
• Schoolwide Plan Requirements [Register] – All Title I recipients must implement either a schoolwide or targeted assistance program with their funds. This training offers a detailed overview of Title I-A schoolwide plan requirements for compliance under ESSA to assist LEAs in developing their plans for the 2019-20 school year. Suggested audience: LEA grant managers, academic program officers and financial officers.

Suggested audience: federal grants managers and financial officers of LEAs receiving federal funding under ESSA.
