The Early Childhood Educator Equitable Compensation Task Force was established in 2021 to inform the implementation of the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund. In February 2024, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) announced it would reconvene the Task Force to review implementation of the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund to date, identify options for improvement and make recommendations to ensure equity, efficiency and sustainability for long-term implementation. Meeting Agendas and Presentations
Virtual Public Roundtable
The Task Force will host a virtual public roundtable from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 to collect feedback from early childhood educators, child care providers and early learning advocates to inform the implementation of the Early Childhood Educator Pay Equity Fund.
The DC early learning community is invited to provide testimony to inform the Task Force’s deliberations. To testify live during the virtual public roundtable, individuals must register no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7. Individuals are also encouraged to submit written testimony by emailing [email protected]. Written testimony must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 17.
