The District’s schools conducted Test to Return for the start of the 2022-23 school year, and all LEAs received coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid antigen tests kits to facilitate participation. LEAs distributed tests prior to school reopening and families and staff submitted test results in the Rapid Test Submission Portal, available here. Test to Return was required for DCPS and some charter schools.

The data below represent Test to Return results submitted into the portal between Aug. 7 and 12 p.m. on Sept. 6, which includes opening dates for most LEAs. Please note, some LEAs collected their own test results for Test to Return, or results were not submitted into the portal, and thus are not reflected in the data set below.
