the Attendance Accountability Amendment Act of 2013, LEAs must notify OSSE within two business days of a student’s 10th unexcused absence. OSSE will provide the parent with a truancy prevention resource guide.

To notify OSSE of students with 10 or more unexcused absences, please complete the Truancy Notification Form and upload it to LEA Truancy Notification Form Upload.

OSSE believes that preventing truancy is a shared responsibility between the state education agency, local school districts, parents, students and community members. Thank you for helping us.
