The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is seeking Tydings waivers for DC’s fiscal year (FY) 2022 and 2023 funds under the Title I, Part D program, authorized by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). If approved, this waiver would extend the availability of FY22 and FY23 funds through Sept. 30, 2025.

As required under ESSA section 8401(b), OSSE is requesting comments on the proposed Tydings waiver requests.

Please submit your comments by Nov. 1, 2024, via email to [email protected]. Include “Title I – Part D Tydings Waivers” in the email subject line. Copies of all public comments received will be included in the waiver request submissions to the US Department of Education.
