This webinar was designed to equip English learner (EL) coordinators with key insights into policies and best practices to support ELs in their local education agencies. The training covers essential topics such as statewide EL identification procedures, the use of OSSE-approved English language proficiency screeners, and guidelines for placing identified ELs, including considerations for transfers and parental waiver of services. Additionally, the session provides updates on statewide exit criteria for students taking the Alt-ACCESS assessment, strategies for addressing errors in students’ EL status, and guidance on accessing and utilizing data from the SY23-24 Early Access to EL Data Qlik application.
