Join educators from the US Botanic Garden to explore "Fierce Flora," a new exhibit at the USBG Conservatory! Test your reflexes against carnivorous plant traps, learn how and why plants defend themselves, and get an up-close look at parasitic, poisonous, and prickly plants. Explore ways that the ferocious side of the plant world can engage learners and inspire curiosity. Participants will receive a copy of “Hacking Questions” by Connie Hamilton.

Grace Anderson is a Science Education Specialist at the United States Botanic Garden. Grace has a passion for science education and works to incorporate plant science learning into all the garden’s programming including school programs, adult programs, teacher professional development, and exhibits.

Emily Hestness is an Education Specialist on the US Botanic Garden’s Learning & Engagement team. Her work at the garden focuses on teacher professional development, program evaluation and research, and national educational partnerships.
