The ACCESS Growth Target and How to Use It

This webinar will provide information on the ACCESS growth target: what is it, how is it calculated and how to use it to develop English language development goals for your English learner (EL) students. EL students’ growth targets are set based on their baseline ACCESS proficiency level, grade at testing, and number of years remaining to reach proficiency within 5 years. Students’ progress towards their growth targets is available to LEAs in the Early ACCESS to EL Data Qlik app. This information can be used to develop English language development goals to ensure that students’ EL services afford them the opportunity to move forward in their English language acquisition.
