Data Update: At-Risk Enrollment Reduction at Two LEAs [Updated: Feb. 15, 2018]
The files above have been updated to reflect a reduction in the number of adult students at Briya PCS and Maya Angelou PCS who were miscoded as at-risk. Based on the Uniform per Student Funding Formula (UPSFF), LEAs do not receive additional at-risk funding for adult students.  At-risk is defined as students who are homeless, in the DC foster care system, quality for TANF or SNAP, or high school students that are one year or more older than then expected age for their grade.  Even if an adult student meets the criteria for at-risk, that adult student should not be included in the at-risk enrollment numbers.  The at-risk enrollment numbers for both Briya PCS and Maya Angelou PCS were reduced as a result of this correction, and the public charter sector and state-wide at-risk enrollment numbers were also reduced. Overall sector and statewide enrollment numbers where not affected by this update.
