Health and Wellness Reports

Find information about reporting related to health, wellness, nutrition and school climate in public schools in the District of Columbia. 

  • Healthy School Act Report
  • The Healthy Schools Act of 2010 (HSA), DC Official Code § 38-821.01 et seq., requires OSSE to biennially release a report on physical and health education requirements and achievements, farm-to-school initiatives and recommendations, and school garden programming in the District. These reports are issued biennially on Sept. 30. The HSA also requires a triennial report on the state of environmental education in the District, plans for expansion, and recommendations for improvement. This report is issued on Sept. 30.
  • School Climate Report
  • The Youth Suicide Prevention and School Climate Survey Amendment Act of 2016 requires OSSE to annually release a report analyzing school climate data collected in District schools. The report is issued annually on Oct. 1. Reports can be found at: http://lims.dccouncil.us/
  • Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Report
  • The Healthy Tots Act of 2014, D.C. Law 20-155; D.C. Official Code § 38-281 et. seq., requires OSSE to annually release a report on District child development facilities where a high percentage of children are eligible for subsidies and whether those child development facilities utilize the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).   • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Report
  • The Healthy Tots Act of 2014, D.C. Law 20-155; D.C. Official Code § 38-281 et. seq., requires OSSE and the District of Columbia Department of Health (DOH) to annually release a report on efforts to promote WIC in child development facilities. The report is issued annually on December 30. Reports can be found at: http://lims.dccouncil.us/
  • Healthy Youth and Schools Commission (HYSC) Report
  • The Healthy Schools Act of 2010 (HSA), DC Official Code § 38-821.01 et seq., requires the Healthy Youth and Schools Commission (HYSC) to annually release a report on the health, wellness, and nutrition of youth and schools in the District. The report is issued annually on Nov. 30.
