FFY 2016 Stakeholder Feedback Presentation

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

Each year, OSSE’s Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support (OPCSFS) is asked by the U.S. Department of Education to submit an application describing how OSSE will administer Scholarships for Opportunity and Results Act (SOAR) Act funding available to charter schools and third-party charter support organizations.

This year OPCSFS conducted a survey in Sept. 2016 that asked stakeholders for specific feedback in key funding areas and for general feedback about SOAR. OPCSFS received 52 responses, including 38 responses from individuals affiliated with public charter schools.

OPCSFS also held an in-person stakeholder feedback session for charter school representatives on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016. During this session the results of the survey, including written stakeholder comments, were shared and additional feedback and information was sought from the attendees. The session presentation, which contains the survey results, is attached below.
