Participants will be presented with solutions that have been derived through Participatory Action Research methods with English language learner students within the District of Columbia schools. The workshop will highlight gains in policy enhancements that DCPS has made and future policy recommendations for DCPS and District of Columbia Public Schools through a pending bill introduced by ELL students to DC City Council in February 2015 called the “Language Access for Education Act of 2015.”
