This monthly webinar series will cover a wide array of topics pertaining to English learners (ELs), English language acquisition, and English learner program administrative and instructional activities. Following the last two presentation on listening and speaking, this webinar, the third in a four part series on improving skills in the four language domains within the WIDA English Language Development Standards framework, focuses on reading. Specifically, this presentation will cover:

1. An understanding of language acquisition in the domain of reading.
2. Considerations for designing reading activities for both language and content development.
3. Strategies to improve reading comprehension.
