New! Introducing the One-Year Provisional Teacher Credential The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is announcing a new one-year provisional teacher credential. This credential is available to first-time DC educator credential applicants who meet OSSE’s basic skills requirements, are employed as the “teacher of record” at a DC local education agency and meet satisfactory background check requirements. New! Announcing the Option to Demonstrate Basic Skills via a 3.0 GPA The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is announcing a new option that enables teacher credential applicants to demonstrate basic skills competency via a 3.0 or higher grade-point average (GPA) earned on a 4.0 scale for a completed bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university. This option is available to applicants for a one-year provisional teacher credential, an initial teacher credential and a standard teacher credential. School-based Health Professionals |
