BusWhere
Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education Division of Student Transportation (OSSE-DOT) is launching BusWhere, a new app that helps parents and families track the location and estimated arrival time of their student’s school bus. BusWhere will become available in phases for families whose students ride OSSE‑DOT yellow school buses or vans.
Currently, OSSE-DOT is in Phase 1 of the BusWhere rollout. We are excited to bring BusWhere to all OSSE-DOT families soon.
As soon as BusWhere becomes available for your student’s route, you will receive a notice from OSSE and a personalized email invitation directly from BusWhere.

OSSE Parent Portal
OSSE is making changes to how families request transportation services for eligible students with disabilities. The new OSSE Parent Portal, an online platform where parents and guardians of students with transportation-eligible Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) can submit transportation preferences for the 2025–26 school year.
The Parent Resource Center
The Parent Resource Center communicates with families of students with disabilities receiving transportation services in the District of Columbia and nonpublic placements.
