Director of Culture and Equity

Angie Kirk is currently the Director of Culture and Equity at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). In this role she drives agency culture and leadership priorities such as diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB), wellness, and leadership development. Angie interprets quantitative and qualitative data to create signature staff engagements. In 2022, Angie was recognized with the Innovation Award for her employee wellness initiatives. 

Prior to her role with OSSE, Angie served as the Director of the Professional Development Program with Management Leadership for Tomorrow. She and her team coached thousands of top-tier MBAs of color through the MBA recruiting process with results that bested the universities: 99 percent of program graduates receiving full-time offers and 100 percent of program members receiving internship offers.  

Angie has successfully led people and processes in corporate, not-for-profit, quasi-governmental, and government agencies over her career. She is passionate about professional development, having earned many cohort placements and certificates in the areas of human resources, urban education, mental health awareness, racial equity, and executive coaching. 

Angie earned an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and hold a B.S. in Banking and Finance from North Carolina A&T State University.
