Transportation Request Forms for the 2023-24 School Year

Dear Families,

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) Division of Student Transportation (DOT) is requesting your assistance in ensuring transportation for your student for the start of the 2023-24 School Year. To provide in-person transportation services for your student, OSSE-DOT must receive a formal transportation request from your student’s school by June 5, 2023.

As of June 6, 2023, your student’s new or returning school has not submitted the required information to OSSE-DOT, making it impossible for us to route your student.

If your student is scheduled to attend in-person instruction for the 2023-24 School Year, we ask that you contact your student’s local education agency (LEA) and request to have your student’s transportation request form (TRF) submitted to OSSE-DOT no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, This will ensure your student is included when OSSE-DOT begins creating bus routes for the upcoming school year.

If your student is not going to need transportation services, please let the school know so that your student’s status can be updated. In May 2023, OSSE-DOT launched a new webpage that tracks the TRF submission status of eligible students by each LEA for the upcoming school year. Once your student’s school submits a transportation request form, your student will be removed from “TRF Missing” to “TRF Received.”

If you have any questions, please contact the OSSE-DOT Parent Resource Center at (202) 576-5000.

Thank you,

Division of Student Transportation
