Financial assistance like scholarships and grants supports student’s college enrollment and graduation goals. OSSE shares opportunities for DC residents here, including the DC Tuition Assistance Grant (DCTAG) and Mayor's Scholars Undergraduate Program.
The Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) establishes standards for colleges and universities, authorizes operations, approves programs, issues or denies licenses to, and oversees all private postsecondary educational institutions in the District of Columbia. It is the only entity authorized by the mayor to issue educational licenses.
