OSSE Parent Portal

New for the 2025–26 School Year: OSSE Parent Portal

Submit Your Child’s Transportation Preferences Online

The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is making changes to how families request transportation services for eligible students with disabilities. Starting Monday, June 9, OSSE will launch the new OSSE Parent Portal, an online platform where parents and guardians of students with transportation-eligible Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) can submit transportation preferences for the 2025–26 school year.

In the Parent Portal, parents/guardians can choose their child’s preferred transportation service and provide specific pick-up and drop-off addresses.

Transportation Options in the Portal

Parents and guardians will choose one of the following options:

  • Will Not Need Transportation
    • “My student will not use any OSSE transportation services.”
  • Parent Stipend Program
    • “I will apply for a $400 monthly stipend for transporting my student to and from their enrolled school.”
    • Note:
      • If you’re currently enrolled in the 2024–25 Parent Stipend Program, you must still submit your preference in the OSSE Parent Portal to confirm participation for 2025–26.
      • Required documentation must be uploaded in the portal.
      • Monthly attendance will be verified to maintain stipend eligibility.
  • OSSE-DOT Transportation
    • “OSSE’s Division of Student Transportation (OSSE-DOT) will provide transportation for my student to and from their enrolled school (via yellow school bus or OSSE-designated vehicle). I will provide updated address details in the portal.”

Training and Technical Assistance

OSSE will offer training videos in the portal to support families in completing their submission. In addition, from June 10-June 28, OSSE will offer in-person technical support on the following days to help parents and guardians complete their submissions:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4–7 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

(Please note: Support will not be available on Thursday, June 19 due to the Juneteenth federal holiday.)
