Classroom to Table Workshop: Small Bites

Common Threads will be facilitating a crash course in nutrition for teachers through a series of hands-on activities that translate back to the classroom and support HSA and Common Core standards.

Speaker Information

Andrew Keller, Program Manager, Washington, DC, Common Threads

Andrew Keller is the DC Program Manager for Common Threads, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering students and their families with basic cooking skills and fundamental nutrition education, while promoting cross-cultural understanding. In his current role, Andrew is responsible for overseeing all of Common Threads’ programs and activities in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Prior to Common Threads, he served as Program Manager and Associate Technology Lead at the Institute of International Education, where he was primarily tasked with the design and implementation of public diplomacy programs on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Central Michigan University.
